JFS staff provide in-school counseling and classroom observation services for students. Services are is designed to assist students with social and learning issues, peer concerns, and family concerns.

JFS maintains a presence at UJCVP, providing support to Jewish individuals living on the peninsula with services and programs very similar to those offered in the Tidewater Region. We are committed to help to provide support to our Jewish partners throughout the region.

JFS provides counseling and support services to adults residing in the Beth Shalom Home. These services are available to residents to address concerns related to mental health issues, regardless of affiliation.

JFS is proud to partner with Freda Gordon Hospice and Palliative Care of Tidewater to help support patients and families as they receive compassionate support and attention throughout their journey.

Peace by Piece is an interfaith, community-based peer support group for children, teens, and families who have experienced the death of a loved one. Peace by Piece is a partnership between Edmarc (link) and JFS. These groups meet twice a month and are provided free of charge.
