Mitzvah Corps Annual Campaign

JFS’ Annual Campaign reaches out to the JFS Mitzvah Corps (Mits’ve Korz) - a group of community-minded, caring supporters whose donations directly support the programs of and those served by Jewish Family Service.

Mitzvah Corps participants can provide crucial assistance to local families or individuals in need with any level of contribution:

• $18.00 will provide van transportation to an older adults for 3 trips to and from a doctor’s appointment

• $36.00 will provide a week’s worth of hot kosher meals to an older adult or a disabled individual.

• $50.00 will allow a grieving child to attend 2 support group meetings with other children who have also lost loved ones.

• $75.00 will enable a JFS Care Navigator (Case Manager) to provide outreach services to an older adult Holocaust survivor.

• $100.00 will allow a recreation wellness therapist to assess the abilities of an Alzheimer’s patient and recommend quality of life activities designed to fill their day.

• $250.00 will help a local family receive 5 counseling sessions.

• $500.00 will give an older adult 6 Nursing Care Management visits, once a week for 6 weeks.

• $1,000.00 will provide 10 months of perishable food for a Jewish family through the JFS Food Bank Program.

• $2,500.00 will provide one week of Home Health Care to an individual recovering from an illness.

• $5,000.00 will create an Endowment Fund through the Jewish Family Service Foundation, which will help ensure the future of JFS programs.

• $10,000.00 will provide one month of 24 hour Palliative Care (End of Life Care) for a person with a serious or chronic illness, giving them the ability to spend their last days in the comfort of their own home.
